Its All In a Weekend!
As the winter slowly departs us and the spring begins to peek. Chicago comes alive with many cultural, social, political and philanthropic events. This past weekend Kontinent Media was instrumental in promoting and sponsoring diverse causes and events. On Friday, March 18 in the heart of Bucktown we attended/promoted the «Visual Approach» and experienced an internationally acclaimed cellist and composer Ian Maksin, an up-and-coming rising star. Recently he has performed with such artists as Sting and Bocelli. On Saturday we attended the Deerfield Village Hall meeting with Congressman Robert J. Dold, where we discussed astronomical debit and credit card swipe fees that effect many small businesses. Other issues discussed at the meeting were continuously expending US deficit and the healthcare reform. Later that day we had an honor to attend «The Bubble Ball» as one of the event sponsors. The Bubble Ball is the signature annual fundraising gala for Between Friends, a domestic violence agency located on Chicago’s north side. Many prominent people were in attendance including the Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez and the NBC 5 news anchor Marion Brooks, including attorneys, real estate developers, accountants, doctors, and more. Likewise, we attended another Kontinent Media promoted event «Spring For Good Clean House» at the Stone Lotus downtown based club. Leonard Mogul, market development director for Kontinent Media remarked that «we believe that we are the only Russian-American media group who strives not only to give back to its community, but to likewise, represent it to our fullest potential in order to strength it inside out.» If you would like our assistance in helping to promote your event, please contact via email kontinentmedia@gmail.com with your request.
