Предстоящий Первый Фестиваль «Всем нужна любовь» — неординарное событие в культурной жизни Чикаго. Само название фестиваля и время проведения (14 февраля) говорит о том, что посвящен он будет любви. Местом проведения избран популярнейший чикагский музей Fields Museum. Наш корреспондент попросил рассказать о фестивале продюсера мероприятия Жюльетт Маркиз.
«В этот раз празднование Дня Влюбленных в Чикаго будет необычным и, надеемся, очень запоминающимся. Мы собираемся напомнить людям разных поколений, что в мире есть любовь и что любовь поистине управляет этим миром. Любовь — это самое главное, что можно ценить и не только как романтическое, но и всеобъемлющее и самое светлое на земле чувство.
Теперь несколько слов о том, как будет проходить наш праздник.
Фестиваль будет состоять из ряда разнообразных и подчас неожиданных элементов. Вместе они составят представление мирового уровня. Достаточно отметить, что в числе участников нашей программы много знаменитостей: Funkadesi и DJ Flipper Dalton, Dr. Kahil El\’Zabar и его этнический ансамбль «Наследие», турецкий музыкальный гений Omar Faruk Tekbilek, греческая джазовая певица Alexia, а также чикагцы Bandoleros, DJs M. CHICAGO – Mor Visual Entertainment, producer of the first annual All Need Love Festival, is thrilled to announce DJ Flipper Dalton and Chicago’s Funkadesi will be the festival’s headliners on February 14, 2011 at The Field Museum, 1400 Lake Shore Drive. Flipper Dalton has previously toured internationally and worked with such prominent pop artists as Madonna, P. Diddy, Alanis Morrisette, The Prodigy, Fat Boy Slim and Moby, among others. Funkadesi is uniquely electrifying, featuring musicians who soulfully celebrate their cultural roots while exploring new sounds together. The first annual All Need Love Festival unites Chicago-based DJs, international musicians, speakers and performances to offer a taste for all the senses this Valentine’s Day. LA-based dancer and actress Candice Coke will host the main stage performances in Stanley Field Hall and blogger, talk show host, nightclub emcee and the mastermind behind JasonCurious.com, Jason Sechrest will host the Zodiac Singles Mixer.
The All Need Love Festival is a one-night only event dedicated to love and global awareness. Beginning at 8 p.m., an eclectic ensemble of performance and speakers including percussionist and composer Dr. Kahil El\’Zabar and his Ethnic Heritage Ensemble, Turkish musical genius
Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Greek jazz singer Alexia, Bandoleros, DJ Sylvia, DJ Dani Deahl, DJ Flylife (Wojtec Tusz), DJ Sadie Woods, supernatural entertainer Lior Suchard and Chicago’s own The Second City will come together on February 14, 2011 at The Field Museum to celebrate this universal emotion and most unique human trait. With several rooms of activities and five stages, the All Need Love Festival is perfect for singles, couples or groups of friends seeking out a unique Valentine’s Day event.
The grand halls of the Field Museum will be visually enhanced to provide an atmospheric background for a cast of world-renowned performers as guests and audience members enjoy socializing and sharing their experiences with new and old friends over seven signature cocktails and fare. The perfect setting for this global celebration, the various halls and wings of The Field Museum will each offer a different themed experience, replete with specialty cocktails to represent each cultural exploration.
Additional experiences at the event will include a Zodiac Singles Mixer for unattached guests and a live demonstration of traditional Tibetan Buddhist butter sculpture, which is considered central to spiritual development in Tibetan Buddhism and an exotic treasure of Tibetan art, by Sonam Dhargye. One of the most influential voices in the Kabbalah movement, Yehuda Berg, will be a featured speaker. A bestselling author and luminary authority on Kabbalah, Berg is part of a long line of Kabbalistic masters, and the son of Rav and Karen Berg.
Flipper Dalton has worked with such prominent pop artists as Madonna, P. Diddy, Alanis Morrisette, The Prodigy, Sasha and John Digweed, and Underworld\’s Darren Emerson. He has also played concert piano at The Royal Albert Hall in London, toured the world extensively with such acts as Fat Boy Slim, Moby, Carl Cox, and Brian Transeau. Now living in Los Angeles, Flipper composes music for film and television, with film credits including “The Da Vinci Code.”
The Award-Winning, Chicago-based Funkadesi has been hailed by Time Magazine, and even caught the attention of President Barack Obama, who notes: “Funkadesi really knows how to get fired up. . . . There\’s a lot of funk in that desi!” Funkadesi is a uniquely electrifying, compelling musical force that features musicians who soulfully celebrate their cultural roots while exploring new sounds together. Each band member’s distinctive and uncompromised cultural/musical contribution deftly merges to create a one-world sound with a positive vibe.
Candice Coke is a LA-based professional dancer and actress who has shared the stage with icons such as Michael Jackson and Price, as well as Will Smith, Ricky Martin and the Smashing Pumpkins. She has also been seen on television, with a recurring role in “Days of Our Lives” and guest starring roles on “90210,” “Bones” and “Scrubs,” to name a few. Coke’s film credits include “Sex and Death 101,” starring Simon Baker and Winona Ryder, and “My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done,” starring Willem Dafoe and Michael Shannon. She stars in an upcoming film directed by Giovanni Zelko, “The Algerian,” which is set to be released in 2011. A New York native, Coke studied Educational Theater and Public Speaking at NYU.
Jason Sechrest began his career as one of the youngest published magazine journalists, writing for Entertainment Weekly and Femme Fatales beginning at age 15. Sechrest began blogging full time in 1998 and become the adult entertainment industry’s first-ever straight and gay porn blogger, launching JasonCurious.com, which was one of the first websites entirely devoted to behind-the-scenes interviews with the stars of the adult entertainment industry. An avid student of Kabbalah, Sechrest also waxes spiritual with an additional daily blog at KabbalahCurious.com. He has won over a half dozen awards for his “Jason’s News Desk” blog, with ARENA Magazine hailing him one of the “Top 50 Most Powerful People in Porn” alongside the likes of Chi Chi LaRue, Hugh Hefner and Larry Flynt. The success quickly parlayed to other outlets with Sechrest becoming a popular talk show host, nightclub emcee, director and publicist full time in the adult genre.
Tickets to the All Need Love Festival are $96 for General Admission, $160 for VIP Admission and $260 for Gold VIP Admission. Gold VIP admission is extremely limited and will include a seated five-star dinner in a private area at The Field Museum. Doors will open at 8 p.m. for all ticket holders and include access to all main stage events and open bar until 1 a.m. VIP ticket holders will have access to an exclusive VIP area with hors d’oeuvres and a private bar as well as private performance opportunities.
Tickets are available for advance purchase only, online at allneedlove.com . Tickets will only be available at these price points through February 7, 2011 and Gold VIP admission will close on Feb. 7. After February 7, VIP admission will be $175 and general admission will be $115. All ticket sales will close Sunday, February 13. Tickets will not be available for purchase at the door.
In the spirit of giving love, a portion of the evening’s proceeds will benefit the Success For Kids Foundation. The SFK supports the education of at risk children by delivering innovative research-based programs to enhance their emotional intelligence, problem solving and self-sufficiency skills.
